"As an aerospace engineer you rarely get to take an idea from a blank sheet of paper to a completed, flying aircraft," says Tom Brooks, Principal Engineer at Bell Helicopter Textron. Brooks and his colleagues were presented with that opportunity when they designed and built the BA609, the first and fastest commercially available tiltrotor aircraft in the world.
